A-level History resources for Pearson Edexcel teachers, mapped to the current Edexcel History 9HI0 specification. Each pack is checked against the exact paper, section and assessment objective it targets before release.
How Edexcel assesses interpretations (AO3)
On Paper 1 (Breadth study with interpretations), AO3 is assessed in Section C: a single prescribed interpretations debate per option, examined through two secondary extracts and a 20-mark question. Section C draws only on the option’s named “historical interpretations” topic.
